The new "super stylish" Greene King restaurant, The Isle of Ely, opened in Elys Village today (March 7), creating 25 jobs.
Inspired by local landmarks, the interior décor features photographs of Ely Cathedral with references to the city's history.
Early arrivals at the restaurant were Tom Cockerton and his three-year-old son Freddie.
Tom said, "What a great addition to Ely Leisure Village!
"The menu is huge and has something for everyone.
"There is a truly unique feeling in the place, with some great local references in the decor that stand out.
"I love it and can not wait to return soon, especially with my family for Sunday lunch."
Described by chefs as "the place for locals and visitors alike", the restaurant is a great addition to sports enthusiasts as The Isle of Ely Sky Sports broadcasts on their "oversized" screens throughout the grounds.
A statement by Greene King states: "Guests can choose from classics and delicious chicken dishes, light snacks and colorful, calorie-conscious salads – or even coffee and cake for just £ 2.99.
"The venue also offers a wide selection of drinks with craft beers, including national and local draft beers, as well as a range of gins and rums."
Alan Kitson, General Manager, said: "The opening day was a great success and we have already received incredible feedback from our guests.
"The pub looks amazing and we were all so excited to open the doors and share Ely's latest offer with them.
"We've designed the pub to have something for everyone, and it's a destination for a multitude of guests. Whether you celebrate something special, join us before you visit the latest blockbuster, or just one night away from the kitchen!
"We can even make the weekend even easier with our delicious Sunday lunches, tantalizing pudding selection and sporting events on the big screens.
"The team and I had a great day and we can not wait to welcome new and returning visitors to the Isle of Ely soon!"
They recruit bar and kitchen staff. For more information on available jobs, contact Mark Teuten on 01353 888731.
