A second person died of Coronavirus in Jersey.
Health and community services say the patient, who was 70 years old, had long-term health conditions and contracted the virus during treatment. They had been treated for some time by the health authorities.
The person’s closest relatives have been informed and supported.
It is devastating to lose a loved one and all of us in health and community services are saddened by this loss. We would like to express our condolences and will not release further details on this patient to protect their confidentiality.
We will continue to update Islanders on the number of people who have been tested for Covid-19, on the number of people who contracted the virus and on any other relevant information as soon as this information is confirmed.
