Thick thieves set off in a caravan after breaking into a forecourt in Chester in the early hours of 8 July.

The Cheshire Constabulary is investigating a collapse at Mill Car Sales at Holkham in Vicars Cross after breaking in around 2am.

A white hobby 645 VIP Premium 2017 caravan was driven away from the construction site in a convoy of two white Ford Transit delivery vans.

The vans drove towards 2.15 clock in the direction of the A41 Vicars Cross Road.

Now the police are turning to the public to track down the culprits.

Detective Constable Victoria Hazlewood said, "The perpetrators damaged a car at Mill Car Sales when they stole the caravan, which had been secured with two wheel clamps and a towing lock.

"We are determined to establish the identity of the perpetrators, to bring them to justice and recover the stolen caravan.

"Investigations are continuing, and as part of our investigation, we ask anyone who believes they have seen the caravan since their theft or know where it is to contact them.
