What were your thoughts on that?
First, big credit to Chris Wilder, his coaching staff and the Sheffield United players. I think they are very well today and I think it's like this. They're going to make a big game on Saturday.
The way they were defended throughout the game, but the 60 minutes when we had 11 against 10 was outstanding and that's why they've kept so many clean sheets in a row. You can see the desire and mentality but also the tactical adjustments that they did so they're a very good side.
Do you see them clinching an automatic promotion spot?
Yeah, I see that.
I know they need to say they are playing at the same time. If they can keep us from scoring in 60 minutes when we play 11 against 10 then that's very good.
Do you credit Sheffield United for keeping you out of your Brentford side failing to score?
It's a bit of both, I think. They are fantastic and they are always fantastic. It's not the first time in the history of the world that's against 10 and can not create enough. In spell we did not play with enough patience, not enough speed, and not enough width – too many times we wanted to do it on our own and went through the middle instead of getting around them.
It's not easy, everybody who has played games like that knows it's not easy.
He did fantastic today. Sheffield United's biggest strength. They have a top team.
The penalty changed the game, what an unnecessary challenge from Yoann Barbet?
There's plenty of manager in this league and everywhere else complaining about the referee's decisions – for me it's a clear penalty.
How did you see the Gary Madine sending off for the challenge on Ezri Konsa?
It could be a red, it could be a yellow – it could be both.
Neal Maupay missed an excellent chance in the first half, how different could the game have been?
We know that goals change the momentum of the game. Sheffield United a burst. It's an even game before the penalty and the red card between two good sides.
You seemed to do a little more direct when making the substitutions in the second half, what was the plan?
Sergi Canos as a wing-back or wide player instead of Moses (Odubajo) because he has even more offensive quality but he did not manage to use it enough ,
We've had Emiliano Marcondes in the middle of doing the full-backs in.
I think there's just a few teams that could defend like Sheffield United did tonight.
Luke Daniels replaced Daniel Bentley – how did he get on?
He did fine – decent I think. It was okay. I do not think he tested tonight.
What's the latest on Daniel Bentley's shoulder injury?
It's still his shoulder and he'll be out for the West Brom game. We'll need to see you after the international break.
