Transfer news in real time: Chelsea plot £ 70 million after the signing of Timo Werner, James Rodriguez in Man Utd

Chelsea are aiming to sign Havertz

Chelsea are reportedly expected to make a move for Bayer Leverkusen Kai Havertz, who has been the source of much speculation about transfers in the past few weeks.

The 20-year-old was impressed with the return of the Bundesliga with the likes of Liverpool, Manchester United and Bayern Munich connected in a move for the striker.

However, Chelsea are ready to make a £ 75 million move for the German in the next transfer window, according to the Daily mail.

Willian and Pedro’s departures in the summer are expected to require substitutions in large positions and Havertz, despite often playing centrally, has been listed as a player who can play in a variety of positions.

Speculation comes less than a week after the Blues were said to be in the process of signing Timo Werner from RB Leipzig.
