TTwo teenagers were stabbed to death after five hours on Thursday, with the murder rate in London continuing to exceed that of last year.

Baptista Adjie, 15, was wearing his school uniform when he died in broad daylight outside a McDonald's in Stratford, East London.

The victim, originally from Woolwich, in south-east London, called his mother to tell him that he was returning home a few minutes before being attacked at 3:20 pm, his family announced.

Police believe Baptista may have been stabbed during a fight in a bus near the scene of his death.

A 15-year-old boy who was friends with him was also stabbed and stays in the hospital in a stable condition.

On Friday night, a 15-year-old boy suspected of murdering Baptista was arrested after going to a police station in East London.
