Tyson Fury against Anthony Joshua? “We would be clowns to keep the fight from happening,” says boxing promoter Eddie Hearn | UK news

Anthony Joshua’s undisputed world title fight against Tyson Fury “will happen,” according to promoter Eddie Hearn who said he will do “everything it takes” to agree on a deal.

Britain’s heavyweight rivals hold all the world boxing titles afterwards Fury claimed the WBC belt with a the outage wins on Deontay Wilder in Las Vegas over the weekend.

Joshua he repurchased the “super” WBA, IBF and WBO belts in a rematch victory over Andy Ruiz Jr in December.

And the Matchroom Boxing boss has promised to eliminate the terms for a successful British battle.

Hearn told Sky Sports News: “He is primarily promoted by Bob Arum. Frank Warren is also involved, MTK is his management company. I spoke to Top Rank and spoke to MTK immediately after the fight.

“There are some obstacles to be overcome in the broadcast, but nothing too much.

“I promise you this fight will take place. If we have to fight Pulev, we have to beat Pulev, and if he does [Fury] he has to fight Wilder, he has to beat Wilder again. Both of these things will happen.

“Fury will beat Wilder again and Joshua will eliminate Pulev, despite Bob Arum telling us very differently.

“You will have this fight. We will do everything necessary to make this fight.

“Last time, we had Team Wilder and we were closing our heads. Right now, you have two guys and two camps who really want this fight, who will really do everything they can to do this fight. It’s the only one fighting.

“When will we ever have the chance for two British heavyweight champions to fight for the undisputed title against each other? It has never happened before that will never happen again.

“We would be clowns, we would be idiots if we didn’t do this fight. We believe we win the fight, they believe they won the fight, so let’s see.”

Wilder has a chance for a rematch with Fury, but Hearn insists that Joshua would be available for a massive showdown in the summer if the American didn’t attempt to immediately regain his WBC belt.
