Fight night (1)

TO UPDATE: False alarm. Because you claimed a new one fight night Claressa Shields is in development and has issued a correction stating that she's misspelled and that she actually talked about another boxing game. In other words, it looks like there are still no new ones fight night in development.

ORIGINAL: It looks like Electronic Arts is finally going to make a new one fight night Game, probably for PS4 and Xbox One, but possibly also for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Scartlett. EA has not yet confirmed or even suggested such a new signing, but according to American professional boxer and 2X Olympic Gold medalist Claressa Shields, EA is reviving the dormant series. How does Shields know that? Because EA contacted her because she's on the cover. Shields mentions only a PS4 version, but presumably the game also comes on the Xbox.

What's particularly interesting here is that EA is already thinking about marketing the game, suggesting that it will come out soon, possibly even next year. Of course, Shields may have misinformation, but that seems unlikely as she claims to have been directly contacted about a new game in the series. You can see her speaking of the game courtesy of the YouTube Channel CHAMPSIDE:

As you may know, we have not seen the boxing game series since 2011. In other words, she has been inactive for almost nine years. Over the years, however, the passionate fan base has argued for wanting a new installment, even though it looks like EA has moved away from it to focus on his UFC Games. However, it looks like it will revive the series, which, as you know, was very popular and well reviewed. From 2004 to 2011, five contributions were submitted. At one point – from 2004 to 2006 – it looked like EA would make it an annual release series, but after that Fight Night Round 3it came away from this release schedule.

Of course, like every leak, it should be taken with a grain of salt. Obviously, Shields does not make up for that. There is almost certainly something going on with the series, the question is, what will it be? You would assume that this is a new mainline console version, but it is possible that EA will give us a curveball, just like a mobile phone version.

As always, you can leave us a comment and tell us what you think or have touched me on Twitter @Tyler_Fischer_ and let me know there. Would you be interested in a new one? fight night?
