"A far-reaching boxing match against someone who is technically gifted could be the wrong strategy," said Haye, who is part of the Sky Sports box office Team.

"Fixed counterattacks, targeting Usyk, bringing Usyk towards him, I definitely believe that Tony Bellew's counter punching skills are very undervalued.

"I was definitely on the screen a couple of times because maybe I underestimated his counter speed.

"He is [Usyk] It has always been very difficult and complicated to pin down. I definitely think he has the qualities of being a very uncomfortable night for Tony, but after he said all that, Tony's left hook is the balance.

"If Tony can land that left hook on the head and the left hook on the body, he can really get his foot in the fight and turn the tide."

Bellew's physique was very different from Haye's muscular physique, which admits he would be stunned when the 35-year-old appears more athletic at the cradle on Friday.

"If he shredded for the fight, I'd honestly say something wrong," Haye said.

"He has to focus on what makes him effective, he has a rather sleek body shape, much like Bernard Hopkins, Muhammad Ali was never shredded, but he is considered one of the greatest heavyweights ever, just like George Foreman, Joe Frazier.

"None of these guys was shredded, but they were amazing fighters, and that's it, it's not a bodybuilding contest, it's a boxing match."
