Venezuela and Turkey strengthen ties of cooperation in the tourism sector

This Tuesday, April 6, the Minister of Popular Power for Tourism, Alí ​​Padrón, held a fruitful meeting with the ambassador of the Republic of Turkey accredited to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Şevki Mütevellioğlu, and the Vice Minister of International Tourism and president of Venezolana de Turismo (Venetur), Leticia Gómez, in order to evaluate joint tourism plans in the national territory.

This meeting facilitates the advancement and negotiations for the investment, promotion and commercialization of the agreements signed, in alliance with the Government of Turkey, to advance tourism during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Likewise, issues of interest were addressed to specify the subscription of the Bilateral Cooperation Program between both nations and it was agreed to design plans that contribute to promoting nature tourism and sun and beach destinations in Venezuela, as a strategy to increase the influx of tourists. and the interest of Turkish investors, taking advantage of the excellent air connectivity between Venezuela and Turkey, as well as the consequent opportunity of connection to the Asian and European markets.

Venezuela is a country with many opportunities for the consolidation of new trends in the Tourism sector. That is why through these meetings strategies are coordinated and relations with the Government of Turkey are strengthened to strengthen investment opportunities in the sector.
