Vicious attack on Runcorn while the man is stabbed in the chest and his face cut

A Runcorn man was stabbed in the chest and his face was cut in a violent attack after being followed by a dark colored car on Friday night.

The 43-year-old is currently in hospital in serious condition.

The offender approached and smashed the victim’s silver Ford Fiesta window around 7:00 on Friday evening.

The offender is believed to have followed the man in a dark-colored vehicle before the attack.

The victim remains in the hospital in serious but stable conditions

Cheshire police officers appeal for witnesses following the accident.

In a statement released today they said: “The officers are in the area this morning and look forward to talking to anyone who may have been close at the time and who say something suspicious.

“In particular, there may have been passers-by or cars passing by that could have caught the crash on their dashcam.”

The local man was parked on Grangemoor in Runcorn when the offender approached the car window.

He remains in a hospital in Cheshire in serious but stable conditions.
