In the early hours of the day, a cold to icy environment with frosts is expected in the north and center of the country.
Low temperatures will continue in the morning, with values of -15 to -10 degrees Celsius in the mountains of Chihuahua and Durango; from -10 to -5 degrees Celsius in the Sonora and Zacatecas mountains; from -5 to 0 degrees Celsius in mountainous areas of Aguascalientes, Baja California, Coahuila, State of Mexico, Guanajuato, northern Jalisco, Michoacán, Nuevo León, Puebla, San Luis Potosí and Tlaxcala, and from 0 to 5 degrees Celsius in mountain areas of Mexico City, Hidalgo, Morelos, Oaxaca, Querétaro, Tamaulipas and Veracruz.
In contrast, for the course of the day, maximum temperatures of 40 to 45 degrees Celsius are estimated in places of Guerrero and Michoacán, and 35 to 40 degrees Celsius in the southwest of the State of Mexico and areas of Campeche, Jalisco, Morelos, Nayarit, Oaxaca and Yucatán.
During the afternoon and night of Monday, an event from the North is expected, with gusts of wind from 70 to 90 km / h in the Isthmus and Gulf of Tehuantepec; from 60 to 70 km / h on the coast of Veracruz, and from 40 to 50 km / h on the coast of Campeche, Tabasco and Tamaulipas. Also, waves of 1 to 3 meters are expected in the Gulf of Tehuantepec.
Likewise, gusts of wind of 60 to 70 km / h are expected with dust collectors in Baja California and Baja California Sur, of the same intensity in the Gulf of California, and of 50 to 60 km / h Aguascalientes, Puebla, San Luis Potosí, Sonora and Zacatecas.
Heavy rains are forecast (75 to 150 millimeters [mm]) for the south of Veracruz; very strong (from 50 to 75 mm) for Chiapas, Oaxaca and Tabasco; strong (from 25 to 50 mm) for Campeche; showers (from 5.1 to 25 mm) for Hidalgo, Puebla, Quintana Roo, San Luis Potosí and Yucatán, and isolated rains (from 0.1 to 5 mm) for Querétaro and Tamaulipas.
Rainfall could be accompanied by electric shocks and strong gusts of wind, as well as hail in Chiapas, Oaxaca, Tabasco and southern Veracruz.
The North event, the winds and the rains will be generated by the Cold Front Number 37, which will extend over the east and southeast of the country, its associated cold air mass and a low pressure channel that will be located in the southeast of the Mexican republic. The high temperatures will be caused by the high pressure system that will remain in the middle levels of the atmosphere.
