Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) has kept a low profile on Emmerdale recently, leading viewers to wonder if she is okay.

He’s had a lot on his plate in the past few weeks since Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) made the decision to steal money from Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough) on the night he died.

Vanessa struggled to come to terms with Charity’s actions and tried to get her boyfriend to confess, to free Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock).

However, it seems that he will soon have even more on his plate.

So what’s wrong with Vanessa?

Tonight, Vanessa will come face to face with the evil Pierce Harris (Jonathan Wrather).

While searching for one of Johnny’s toys, she turns to find none other than Pierce behind her.

In the scenes that take place next week, Pierce will kidnap Vanessa and keep her captive.

Vanessa was the first person to make Pierce’s true colors when she was engaged to her best friend Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) and the evil manipulator managed to guide a wedge between the two best companions.

Hence, it is safe to say that they are not exactly best friends.

She is in a vulnerable position, having fallen with Charity, who decides to stop checking her phone messages from her partner.

He does not know that Vanessa is in grave danger.

Vanessa may also have an additional cause for concern after attending a doctor’s appointment in tonight’s episode.

Is it a routine appointment or are there others in progress? And what does Pierce want from her?

Everything will be revealed.

Emmerdale continues on ITV tonight at 19:00
