Travel operators accused the government’s new vacation rules of creating “total confusion” as it emerged that less than half of the “approved” destinations were open to British tourists without restriction.
Sun seekers to many of the countries, given the green light, will find that the borders are still closed to the British. In other destinations they will have to undergo health screening at airports or be forced to provide updated test results to prove that they are free of coronavirus.
