For that height, Tom had played memorable roles, like in The impossible, the story of the surviving family tsunami occurred in 2004.
While Tom continues to prepare the third part of spider-man, it’s found waiting for the release of one of his most recent films, “Cherry“This story takes the actor to reality, outside the world of superheroes, to tell the adventures of a soldier who becomes a bank robber.
During an interview with Backstage to talk about Cherry, the tape that brings him together again Russo brothers, Tom remembered the disastrous auditions he starred in and revealed that one of them was related to the new trilogy of Star Wars.
Tom records his failed experience proving to be part of the franchise created by George Lucas, auditioning for him role of the defector stormtrooper, Finn. Although the process appears to have started off smoothly, with Holland having a chance to continue for a few rounds of auditions, the future Spider-Man star admits that ultimately it was not his best moment.
I remember auditioning for Star Wars, I had like four or five auditions and I think I was auditioning for the role of John Boyega. I remember doing this scene with a lady, bless her, and she was a droid. So I was doing all this, like, “We have to get back to the ship!” And she would say, “Beep, bloop bloop, beep bloop.” I couldn’t stop laughing. I found it very funny. And I felt really bad, because she was trying so hard to be a convincing droid. Yes, I obviously didn’t get the part. That was not my best moment, Tom remembered laughing.
It would have been interesting to see Tom in the role of the Stormtrooper, but anyway John Boyega was in charge of making an interesting character, for which he received praise from the public and specialized criticism.
Having been selected for Star Wars, Tom probably couldn’t have played the wall-crawler. Anyway, as the saying goes Every cloud has a silver lining, the young actor received the huge role of Peter Parker and from Civil War has played the arachnid in more than 4 times inside the MCU, delighting the critics and especially the fans.
