Tyson Fury insists he employed a new coach to “nail” Deontay Wilder in a two-shot demolition.

Rivals met face-to-face on Monday evening in Los Angeles at a press conference ahead of the February 22 rematch in which Wilder will again defend his WBC heavyweight championship, to settle the score after Fury got off the canvas in 12. Round of their first fight to secure a draw.

Fury replaced former coach Ben Davison with Sugarhill Steward for next month’s fight and warned Wilder: “I am looking for knockout. It is clear that I will not be making a decision in the United States.

“That’s why I hired the Kronk coach who specializes in sitting on the right hand. Look at all the Kronk fighters, even Wladimir Klitschko, looking for the big right hand.

“I’m looking for the big right hand to nail Wilder. Goodnight. I’m looking for the knockout. If I wasn’t, I would have kept Ben Davison. I’m sick of the point decisions, I’ve had a lot, but I’m trying to knock him out.

“I’m not looking for a jerky pout. I want you to meet me at the dead end of the ring, let’s have a party for the slugs. The best man gets up, the loser goes down. I have 20 knockouts in 29 victories. He knows he was shaken two or three times in the first fight but I never had the gas to finish it.

“I want to meet him hand in hand. I won’t run away. You won’t have to look for me. You will go down in two rounds. Two! He is eliminated in two rounds. You laugh now but when you are on your back, do you look at me?

“If I’m stupid enough to get hit by that stupid right hand, then I deserve to be knocked out. He knows he’s not joking with a grimace. To beat Tyson Fury you have to nail him on the canvas and if he can’t do it, I’ll eat it.

“The consensus is that it either knocks me out or I score points. Usually, when people have that opinion, it turns upside down.”

Since their extraction, Wilder has forcefully eliminated Dominic Breazeale and Luis Ortiz. Fury stopped Tom Schwarz and defeated Otto Wallin.

Wilder said, “We had two warm-ups – mine were more dangerous, he kept him safe on the playground. I went to the top of the mountain. Two different fighters.

“One just wants to survive. Me? I’m building for the legacy. He has no belt other than the one that wears the pants.

“That final stuff ends on February 22nd. He needs validation, motivation to feel like he beat me when he knew he hadn’t.

“Why so many coaches? Rotate the coach as he does his plans! I have the same people – you don’t see me shooting anyone or facing someone.

“When you have power, there is no way to avoid it. You cannot prepare yourself. I gave this man a concussion the first time, he doesn’t know how he got off or how he got up.

“This is an unfinished business that I will end. I will knock him out. I am the king of the jungle. I will tear off his head. I will pass him through the ropes.”

Fury, in a captivating suit and a baseball cap backwards, mocked Wilder: “He has a boxing chance. He just landed him the last time. He got out of prison with his right hand a few times. it’s lucky, but this time I won’t be there, I will be super slippery like a goldfish in an aquarium.

“The best boxer in history? The longest reigning champion ever? When he faces the facts, when I beat him, he is just another bum with gloves, another man on the street as he continues the Tyson Fury roadshow.”
