Ruben Vinagre thanked Wolverhampton Wanderers fans for their support as he began his recovery from injury.
The famous left-back suffered a hamstring injury in the final moments of the FA Cup defeat against Manchester United last week.
Coach Nuno Espirito Santo described Vinagre’s injury as a “hard blow” and recalled Ryan Giles from his loan spell in Shrewsbury to provide coverage.
“Vinagre is very special for us,” continued the boss. “It gives us something we need.”
And Vinagre provided a short update via its social media channels. The 20-year-old said: “Focused on my recovery and on supporting the team from the outside! I come back stronger. Thanks for all the support messages. ”
Vinagre has often been used as a substitute since his move from Monaco in 2017 and has made 23 appearances in all competitions this season.
