One woman was charged with the murder of a grandmother who allegedly fell down a flight of stairs.
The rescue service was summoned to a home in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, around 11:40 pm on August 5, after it was reported that a woman had fallen down the stairs.
60-year-old Linda Rainey died two days later at Addenbrooke & # 39; s Hospital in Cambridge after having been severely wounded.
On Tuesday, 55-year-old Rosalind Gray was charged with murder at Malborough Square in Great Yarmouth.
She was also accused of conspiring to distort the course of justice.
A second person, Adrian Lawrence, 53, of South Market Road, Great Yarmouth, was also accused of plotting to distort the course of justice.
Both suspects will appear before the Norwich Magistrates & # 39; Court today.
Officials said they had "received important information" about the incident from a member of the public on 10 August.
An autopsy revealed that Ms. Rainey died of a serious head injury.
Ms. Rainey's family said in a tribute issued by the police, "Linda (Lin) was the beloved mother of five children and grandmother of four grandchildren she adored.
"She was also a popular member of the community.
"Her death is a great shock to us."
