World of Warcraft: 5 Reasons You Should Play Shadowlands

The adventures in World of Warcraft they have taught us that our battles are not limited to Azeroth, because we have experienced the problems of Draenor Y Argus, we face the Ancient gods, and we witness the power of Burning Legion and the Lords of the Void.

Now, with the eighth expansion of the MMORPG of Blizzard, Shadowlands promises once again to take us on an epic journey, in the world of the Hereafter. All thanks to Sylvanas, who broke the veil that separated Azeroth from the world of the dead and set in motion a series of events that threaten to break the cosmic order between life and death.

If this initial story doesn’t quite convince you, here are 5 other reasons why you should play World of Warcraft: Shadowlands:

1. Completely new and unexplored kingdoms

As heroes of Azeroth, we follow the trail of Sylvanas and whether we want to or not we must fix all the problems it has caused. The Shadowlands to which we are transported are made up of five zones and the eternal city of Oribos.

In that city we will be judged and sent to the kingdom that best resonates with our soul: Bastion, Maldraxxus, Ardenweald, Revendreth, or The Maw.

Each one with a different environment, aesthetics, allies and enemies; Whether you prefer the illusion of a crystalline castle in the sky, a practice of war with the necrose lords, or a visit to Gothic castles with live gargoyles included, nothing you see has been in World of Warcraft before.

2. The return of iconic characters from the World of Warcraft universe

Arthas, Uther, Drakka, Ursoc, Garrosh… names that have been branded on the pages of WoW, and whose end we witnessed long ago, now return as souls from Shadowlands to show us that the Beyond It was not how we imagined it.

Are you dying to know what other fallen heroes and defeated villains might return? Or a meeting between Thrall Y Drakka, for example? We don’t know how things could end, something we already checked with Uther Y Arthas, which makes it as uncertain as it is exciting.

3. You no longer only choose faction, now you also join a pact

Even though you’ve sworn allegiance to the Horde or to alliance, this is the Hereafter, and in the Shadowlands you must honor a pact with one of the four reigning curiae:

  • The Kyrians of Bastion: Messengers, Guardians, and the Purest Souls in Shadowlands.
  • The necrose lords of Maldraxxus: The military force of the Shadowlands, warrior souls who continue to seek greatness even in death.
  • The nocturnal sylphs of Ardenweald: Home of those who have a deep connection with nature, the souls here prepare the return of others to the world of the living.
  • The venthyr of Revendreth: An aristocratic hierarchy that purges souls of their sins through… unusual methods.

The choice you make will be reflected in certain types of rewards, just don’t forget to do your part as well.

4. Level progression improvements

In more technical sections, something that the community of World of Warcraft asked from Legion, and later in Battle for Azeroth it was a balance to the progression of levels, since for some (especially newbies) it was difficult to gain experience.

However, as seen in the alpha, beta, and developer team statements (we spoke to the game design lead about it here) progress will be much less complicated.

Shadowlands Not only will it be more rookie-friendly (you’ll level up fast and won’t miss out on the story), it’ll also offer new level progression features for veterans, such as pact mechanics and experiences.

Finally, to enter the Shadowlands You need to be level 50, and for this you can choose any expansion to achieve it, which makes it more enjoyable (we all have our favorite expansion, we know that).

5. Professions!

Yes, another topic that has long been one of the main discussions in forums. Make professions relevant again! Well, I wish fulfilled in Shadowlands. At the same time that it will be easier to level up our profession, all of them need to complement each other for the system to work.

This means that you will need to interact much more with other players, as different professions will be strictly necessary to create an item, especially legendary.

We recommend you: Shadowlands: Revendreth – An area that evokes Gothic art and revives the horror genre in World of Warcraft.

World of Warcraft: Shadowlands It promises to surprise us both at the level of history and with novelties in the gameplay, and for that reason it paints to be a great expansion. We already want to get our hands on it when it launches, later this year.

Remember that you can already pre-order it on the official site of World of Warcraft, by here, and compare if the Base Edition, the Heroic, or the Epic suits you.

See you in the Hereafter!
