Since June, each Lotto draw now comprises of two separate rounds, with all players automatically entered into both draws with one ticket. In the new Lotto game, players buy their £2 ticket in the same way. In the first round, a set of 59 balls are entered into the draw machine. Six balls are drawn plus the Bonus Ball, and if you match two or more numbers from your Lotto line you win some cash. Then, a second set of 59 balls are entered into the second draw machine, six balls are drawn plus the Bonus Ball, and the same rule applies if you match 2 or more numbers from your same Lotto line. Each line of numbers played is entered into one draw and played over two rounds, giving players roughly a one in 4.9 chance of winning a prize in every draw.

As it is a must be won game, if no one matches all six numbers there will be a rolldown. This means players matching 2 main numbers win £5, while players matching 3 main numbers may also win a boosted cash prize if there is any rolldown money left over from the jackpot.
