Ruth Jones meets minister over UK fireworks reform plans

Newport West and Islwyn MP Ruth Jones met with Business Minister Kate Dearden MP in Westminster to discuss reforming national fireworks legislation. The high-profile meeting centres around a national consultation launched by the UK Labour Government regarding fireworks and pyrotechnics. According to reporting from the South Wales Argus, the public consultation is organised jointly by the Department for Business and Trade and the Office for Product Safety and Standards.

The consultation forms an essential part of the government's Safer Streets Mission, which is designed to tackle anti-social behaviour.
