We had takeaway from Shokudo a few weeks ago. The sashimi was fresh and delicious. You can tell the chef truly cares about the standard of the food. The portions were generous, which made it even better value. We ordered the Hokkaido Don and the minced tuna with marinated egg yolk — both were absolutely delicious. I would definitely say it’s worth a visit if you’re a fan of Japanese cuisine.

Excellent food quality with reasonable prices, and a very comfortable dining environment. I’ve finally found truly good Japanese food,this is hands down the best Japanese restaurant I’ve had in Southampton. Parking is available right at the entrance, making it very convenient, and the restaurant is also pet-friendly. This is already my third visit in just one month. Highly recommended!10/10👍🏼

An impressive and exciting menu to be enjoyed in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. You won't find many of these dishes in most Japanese places across SE England.
