Conor Wilkinson has completed a switch to Boreham Wood on a short-term loan deal, linking up with the National League side from fellow division rivals Solihull Moors. The move brings a proven goal threat to Meadow Park as the forward looks to secure regular first-team minutes in a positive environment.

Once I heard that the club were interested, it was pretty much an easy decision, Wilkinson told the Boreham Wood website, adding that he simply wanted to enjoy his football in a positive environment.

The 6'3 striker was keen to dispel any notion that he functions purely as a target man. While acknowledging his physical stature, he emphasized a preference for playing with his feet, dropping deeper to link play, and creating opportunities for teammates.

Before arriving at Meadow Park, Wilkinson carved out an extensive career across the English football pyramid. Having begun his development in the Millwall academy, he subsequently moved to Bolton Wanderers and gathered experience with numerous clubs including Chester, Torquay United, Oldham Athletic, Barnsley, Newport County, Portsmouth, Chesterfield, Gillingham, Dagenham & Redbridge, and Leyton Orient. Spells with Motherwell and Colchester United preceded his move to Solihull Moors, where he secured the club's Golden Boot award after netting 13 National League goals in his debut campaign, prior to adding another nine goals in 25 league appearances the following season.
