Reflecting on the documentary project, which took seven years to complete under an agreement where he surrendered narrative control to the directors whom he likened to nature documentary researchers, Jovanotti admitted initial hesitation about exposing his vulnerabilities. I don't feel comfortable showing myself vulnerable, I like being on stage inventing an augmented, splendid, and exciting reality, he explained. But I am like everyone else most of the time when I'm not wearing the Jovanotti costume. The film mainly tells that part.

Following its festival debut, the documentary is scheduled for a special seven-day theatrical run in Italian cinemas, distributed by Plaion Pictures.
