Generis Group Ranks #157 on Canada’s Top Growing Companies 2026

Generis Group has secured position #157 on the Report on Business magazine ranking of Canada’s Top Growing Companies of 2026. Administered annually by The Globe and Mail, the editorial initiative measures both public and private Canadian businesses based on three-year revenue growth. For Generis Group, the milestone marks its fifth appearance on the national list, having previously earned spots in 2019 at #120, 2020 at #209, and 2025 at #136 with three-year revenue growth of 264%. Beyond its overall national standing, the firm also ranked #6 in the Marketing category.

The annual ranking evaluates companies that voluntarily complete an in-depth application process, providing financial documentation for 2022 and 2025 to verify revenue performance. According to The Globe and Mail, applicants had to be Canadian-run and have at least $2 million in annual sales in its most recent fiscal year. One thing this cohort of companies has in common, though, is tenacity—they continue to show outstanding growth despite operating through an escalating trade war and economic uncertainty.

Generis earned its spot with three-year revenue growth of 167% from 2022 to 2025. Scalzo added that the firm has always believed staying close to customers, raising quality, and remaining willing to evolve will allow opportunities to grow.

The company's continued recognition comes during an important period of evolution for the company. In August 2025, Generis was acquired by Emerald, expanding the company's platform and opportunities for growth. In August 2026, Emerald and Questex came together under Forge, a corporate brand bringing together a global portfolio of B2B events, media brands, digital products, and year-round communities. As part of Forge, Generis continues to build on its established summit model and expand its reach across North America and Europe. Other notable entrants leveraged technological innovation to address specific market gaps across the broader Canadian economy. For instance, PomeGran placed #82 nationally with a three-year revenue growth rate of 348% from 2022 to 2025, maintaining its top position in the telecommunications sector for the second consecutive year through aggressive investments in sovereign digital infrastructure across Ontario and Quebec. Dr. Kalai S. Kalaichelvan, Chairman and CEO of PomeGran, stated that the growth reflects a long-term commitment to investing in Canadian sovereign digital infrastructure and expanding connectivity in Indigenous and underserved communities. Meanwhile, Calgary-based WaitWell achieved a growth rate by deploying service operations software designed to streamline front-line administrative tasks in government offices, healthcare facilities, and retail environments. Steve Vander Meulen, CEO and co-founder of WaitWell, noted that the firm grew by making service better for staff at the counter and administrators making resource allocation decisions. Academic open-access publisher JMIR Publications also earned recognition in the Professional category with a three-year revenue growth rate from 2022 to 2025, highlighting the expanding footprint of digital health research. Sean Jeong, CEO of JMIR Publications, stated that the growth proves independence and open science work by providing a necessary alternative to large commercial publishers. Additional ranked entities included Go Lime Inc. At No. 156 with growth matching Generis at 167% and Propel Holdings at No. 164 with 160% growth.
