Avanti West Coast services will transition to public ownership in March following years of persistent delays, cancellations, and underperformance.

New data shows that 64.1 per cent of South Western Railway services arrived on time between April and December last year. The operator reports that it is working to address reliability issues inherited from the previous private sector operator.
